Pediatric Weight Management Center in Novi, MI
Introducing the Health and Nutrition Direction Pathway, an approach for managing weight gain and obesity in children. As obesity becomes more prevalent among children, more tools are needed to help families with lifestyle changes directed at slowing weight gain or promoting weight loss. The HAND Pathway is designed to do just that.
Our goal is to provide customized medicine and individualized guidance to help patients achieve their weight goals. The HAND Pathway is designed to provide ongoing lifestyle changes to achieve long-term healthy weight. We are sensitive to the psycho-social needs of our young patients and believe that success comes from a family-centered team approach.
Please note all physician visits are billed to insurance. Parents are advised to verify coverage with their insurance provider. Nutrition visits are not covered by Michigan insurance thus there is an annual dietitian fee of $130.
If you already have your first appointment scheduled, please complete one of the following intake forms, and bring it with you to your visit, or fax it to us at (248) 347-3344.
The HAND Pathway includes:
- Private evaluation and ongoing management by Dr. Bishop who specializes in childhood obesity and metabolic diseases
- Consultation with our pediatric dietitian
- Lab evaluation on site, if necessary
